1. What is This Document?
This Cookies Policy explains how and why Molokaih LLC, operating as Huuply ("we", "our", "us", or "Huuply"), uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your use of our website www.huuply.com and mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform") and to distinguish you from other users of our Platform in order to improve your experience when you browse, interact with, and use the Platform.
This Cookies Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you do not agree with our use of cookies as described in this policy, you may disable cookies using your browser settings (see Section 9 for instructions).
2. Cookies and Similar Technologies
What are Cookies?
A "cookie" is a small text file that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) through your web browser. Cookies are used to remember information about you, such as your preferences, login status, or browsing behavior. They are persistent—meaning they remain on your device across multiple visits—unless you delete them or they expire.
Similar Technologies
We also use technologies similar to cookies to track your interactions with our Platform:
- Web Beacons (Pixel Tags): Small, transparent image files placed on web pages that track whether a page has been viewed, when, and by how many users. Often used in emails and online advertisements.
- SDKs (Software Development Kits): Code libraries embedded in mobile applications that collect data about app usage, device information, and user behavior.
- Local Storage & SessionStorage: Browser storage mechanisms similar to cookies, used to store larger amounts of data on your device for faster access and improved performance.
3. Why Do We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies allow us to recognize you when you return to Huuply, remember your preferences, analyze how you use our Platform, and serve relevant advertisements to improve your experience. Specifically, we use cookies to:
- Authenticate and maintain your session: Log you in, keep you logged in during your visit, and remember whether you are a homeowner or contractor.
- Save your preferences: Remember your location, service categories, filter settings, and other personalization choices.
- Analyze Platform performance: Understand which features are most used, how long pages take to load, and identify technical issues.
- Track marketing effectiveness: Measure the success of our advertising campaigns, email marketing, and promotional materials.
- Serve personalized advertisements: Show you relevant ads on the Huuply Platform and partner websites based on your browsing history and interests (retargeting).
- Detect and prevent fraud: Identify suspicious activity and protect against unauthorized access to accounts.
4. Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They enable you to navigate the site, log in to your account, submit forms, and complete transactions. These cookies are always active and cannot be disabled without impairing the functionality of the Platform. They do not require your consent under most privacy regulations. Examples: session tokens, CSRF protection tokens, authentication cookies.
Performance and Analytics Cookies
These cookies collect information about how you use the Platform, such as which pages you visit, how long you spend on each page, which links you click, and what errors you encounter. This helps us understand user behavior, improve the Platform's performance, and identify technical issues. These cookies can typically be disabled in your browser settings.
Functionality Cookies
These cookies remember your preferences, such as language selection, location preference, and saved filters. They are designed to make your experience more personalized and efficient across multiple visits. Disabling these may reduce functionality. Examples: language preference, service category defaults, saved search preferences.
Targeting and Advertising Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver personalized advertisements to you on the Huuply Platform and on partner websites. They track your browsing behavior and interests to create a profile of your preferences. These cookies enable us to limit how many times you see the same advertisement and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. These are typically operated by third-party advertising networks and may be shared across websites. These cookies can typically be disabled in your browser settings or through the opt-out mechanisms provided by advertising networks.
Third-Party Cookies
Our Platform includes content and features from third-party providers, including analytics services (Google Analytics), advertising networks (Google Ads, Meta Pixel), and email marketing services (Perfit). These third parties may place their own cookies on your device to track your interaction with their services. We do not have full control over these cookies. Please refer to the privacy policies of these third parties for more information about their cookie practices:
- Google Analytics: policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords): policies.google.com/technologies/ads

This data is processed by Google, which may share it with other Google services and may use it for purposes including but not limited to improving Google products, personalizing ads, and conducting research. Google may also combine your data with information from other sources. Your data may be transferred to and stored in countries outside Canada, including the United States.

7. Retargeting and Interest-Based Advertising
We use retargeting cookies to show you relevant advertisements on the Huuply Platform and on partner websites based on your previous visits and browsing behavior. This helps us reach you with information about services that may be relevant to your interests.
Google Ads and DoubleClick Cookie
We use Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords) for retargeting campaigns. Google uses the DoubleClick cookie and other technologies to recognize you across websites and deliver personalized ads. These cookies track your browsing behavior across sites where Google has placed code.
Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel) to track user behavior on the Huuply Platform and to serve targeted advertisements to you on Facebook, Instagram, and Meta-owned platforms. The Meta Pixel collects information such as page visits, form completions, and conversions, and creates an audience list for retargeting purposes.
How to Opt Out of Retargeting:

- Meta Ad Preferences: facebook.com/ads/preferences
- Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): optout.networkadvertising.org
8. Email Marketing and Marketing Automation
Perfit
We use Perfit, a marketing automation platform, to send you emails and track your interactions with our marketing messages. Perfit uses web beacons (pixel tags) and tracking links in emails to record when you:
- Open an email from Huuply
- Click on links within an email
- Visit pages on our Platform after clicking an email link
This data helps us understand which emails are effective, which content interests you, and how to improve our marketing communications. Perfit may also use cookies on your device to recognize you across visits and associate your actions with your email address. Perfit may transfer your data to servers located outside Canada, including in the United States.
You can manage your email preferences by clicking the "Unsubscribe" or "Manage Preferences" link in any email from Huuply.
9. How Long We Store Cookies
Session Cookies
Session cookies are temporary and expire at the end of your browsing session—that is, when you close your browser window. These are typically used for authentication and security purposes.
Persistent Cookies
Persistent cookies remain on your device for a specified period (ranging from several days to several years) or until you manually delete them. The duration depends on the purpose of the cookie and the preferences of the service provider. For details about specific cookies, see the table in Section 5.
11. Do Not Track (DNT) Signals
Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that sends a signal to websites indicating that you do not want to be tracked. Currently, there is no industry standard for recognizing DNT signals. Huuply does not currently modify its data collection practices based on DNT signals. However, you can use the cookie settings in your browser to limit tracking as described in Section 10.
12. International Data Transfers
Some of the third-party services we use (including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, and Perfit) process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States and potentially other countries. When cookies and related data are transferred to these locations, your personal information is subject to the data protection laws of those jurisdictions, which may differ from Canadian privacy laws. By using the Huuply Platform and allowing cookies, you consent to the transfer of your data internationally as described in this policy and our Privacy Policy.
